Creating, Copying and Deleting Site Logs (Template Log)

Creating, Copying and Deleting Site Logs (Template Log)

Before creating a site log, you need to have:

  1. created a project (How do I create a project?)
  2. defined project settings (Overview of all project settings)
  3. uploaded PDF plans for markers* (Where and how can I upload PDF plans?)
  4. created contacts (Creating and managing contacts)
  • = not strictly necessary
In BauMaster, all site logs are assigned to a project. You can either create your first site log in the "Demo" project, or first create your own project. You can access the site logs via the toolbar at the bottom or the burger menu in the top left.

    1. Creating a Site Log

Click on the Plus button in the bottom right and create your first site log!

On PC: Click on Create Site Log in the 2nd column.

The split screen in the site log overview provides a quick overview: On the left, you can see all available log types for this project (1st column), followed by the corresponding logs (2nd column) with all entries (3rd column) and a detailed preview of the selected entry (4th column). Existing logs can be sorted in ascending or descending order using the arrow symbols.

Possible Information in the Site Log

    • Log Title (required): This appears on the PDF logs
    • Log Type (required): You can only select from the log types that you have chosen in the project settings
    • Log Number: 0 to 999
    • Location Details: (optional)
    • Date: The date when the log is created
    • From - To: The meeting timeframe (optional)
    • Sort Entries by: Here you select which filters are used to sort the log items
    • Display costs incl. or excl. VAT - Net/Gross (slider)
    • Weather: activate to insert the weather conditions on the log date into the log

Once you have created your log, you can record entries, tasks, notes, information, photos, plan markers etc. in the log. You can read how to do this under "Creating Log Entries"!

      2. Copying Site Logs (Template Log)

With the copy function, you can easily copy existing logs and create individual template logs that can be copied for any desired project!

In the logs, select the log you want to copy and click on the three-dot menu in the top right and select "Copy".

      Special feature when copying:

Ignore missing attachments - when this checkbox is activated, logs can be copied even though not all contained attachments (photos, drawings, etc.) have been uploaded to the server.

      Idea
When copying, you can specify the number of copies - For example, if you want to create an acceptance protocol for 5 apartments

      Template logs can include

      • Standard text templates
      • Notes or references to legal texts
      • Standards, contracts, etc.

      be provided with.

      3. Delete Log

Before you can delete a log, all entries in the log must be deleted. Once the log is empty, click on the three dots in the log overview and select "delete".

If there are still entries in the log, the delete function is disabled.

You have to delete all entries in the log by klicking on “Actions”
